Dongfeng IX5 rear fog lamp system features a polygonal cavity design, composed of multiple tilted LED light-emitting elements. The ridged surface of the lens enhances the three-dimensional effect and strengthens the light refraction effect. This left rear fog light strictly complies with international regulations such as ECER 38 and uses a red light source (color temperature ≤ 2854K), achieving a stable light output of 150-300cd.
Durability and Optical Performance
As a custom-designed accessory specifically for the DONGFENG IX5, the DONGFENG rear fog lamp lighting system achieves industry-leading durability. After a 72-hour salt spray corrosion test, the surface showed no signs of rust. Its impact resistance is 40% higher than that of ordinary materials, effectively protecting against flying stones and minor collisions. The lampshade is coated with a nano-level UV-resistant coating. After a 1000-hour xenon lamp weathering test, the light transmittance dropped by only 3%, significantly better than the 15% attenuation of conventional products. It also exhibits no yellowing or loss of transparency over long-term use.
As a key component of the system, the left rear fog light forms a symmetrical light pattern with the right fog light, with a 15° divergence angle. This avoids the "glare" of traditional fog lights while providing a uniform warning light pattern within the rearview mirror's field of view.
